ALLROADS were engaged as the principal contractor by the Scenic Rim Regional Council to upgrade the Enterprise Drive and Mount Lindesay Highway Intersection.

As these works spanned over both Council and DTMR controlled roads, DTMR were also a stakeholder and heavily involved with the project, with all works completed to DTMR specifications.

The upgrade to the intersection included relocating the existing service road, pavement widenings on the Mount Lindesay Highway, upgrading to a signalised intersection, street lighting and CCTV upgrades, stormwater improvements, pavement rehabilitation works, asphalt resurfacing of the Mount Lindesay Highway, concrete works, landscaping, linemarking and signage.

Given that the worksite was located at an existing live intersection with the high traffic volumes, careful programming and strategic staging was integral to ensure a safe and trafficable site was maintained throughout the construction duration. The project team were able to maintain continuous traffic flow and undertake the works successfully in four stages (all dayshift). As a result, project was delivered on budget and one week ahead of the program.
