Brisbane Airport, QLD
In November 2018, ALLROADS commenced works on extending the existing Valet Storage Area at Brisbane Airport for mixed use of valet and staff parking.
The construction of the Stage 3B and Stage 4A Interim Valet Car Parks included: bulk earthworks, pavements, spray seal, linemarking, signage, fencing, electrical and communications installation, construction of 2 x Bio-retention Basins, stormwater, GCL Treatment and landscaping.
During construction ALLROADS were required to work within a tight program where delays were encountered due to re-designs and outstanding approvals. Despite this, the project team were able to re-sequence and program the works accordingly to meet BAC milestone dates and assist with the airports parking demands.
ALLROADS also assisted BAC with re-designs to resolve the issues that were encountered on site, which resulted in significant time and cost savings for the BAC.
Due to increased parking demand during the holiday periods, the ALLROADS project delivery team faced two crucial milestones; delivery of the Stage 3B civil works prior to the Christmas break and the Stage 4A civil works prior to the Easter break. Meticulous planning and management of the construction program ensured these program dates were achieved successfully.
As part of our site-specific Project Management Plan, ALLROADS developed and implemented a Traffic Management Plan to address both the management of the construction traffic and all direct impacts of the increased traffic on the airport road infrastructure and its users.
Effective QHSE systems were put in place with Environmental and Safety inspections conducted every month and attended by BAC’s WHS & Environmental Officers and BAC’s Work Inspector.
