Camena Street, Shailer Park Master Drainage Project Stages 1 & 3

As part of Logan City Council’s Panel of Preferred Providers for Civil Construction Services, ALLROADS were awarded the contract to undertake the construction of Stages 1 & 3 of the Master Drainage works at Camena Street, Shailer Park.

Works across the stages included:

  • Demolition and removal of existing infrastructure, including kerb and channel and pavements,

  • Stormwater structures and the plugging of existing culverts,

  • Coordination with local service authorities for the rehabilitation of water and sewerage services including overseeing of works as required,

  • Construction of new stormwater infrastructure including custom manholes, kerb inlets and culverts in accordance with project drawings, design information and specifications,

  • Subsoil drainage installation,

  • Construction of new Type M3 kerb and channel including tie-ins to existing kerb,

  • Unbound pavement construction to reinstate roads and driveways,

  • Works within drainage easements and property access,

  • Landscaping including topsoil placement and turfing.

The project encountered substantial rock in excavation which slowed production and extended construction time frames. ALLROADS mobilised additional machinery on site to overcome this issue, whilst also mobilising additional crews to mitigate the delays.
