Group History

Building on a Solid Foundation

The ALLROADS group has a proud history of involvement in the civil construction industry spanning over a decade. From our humble beginnings as Bayside Civil, the company has shown steady growth, firstly establishing QLD Civil in 2008, before launching the ALLROADS business the following year. In early 2013, the decision was made to draw all three companies together under the ALLROADS Group banner to both simplify and strengthen our business offering.

Today, the group has grown to become a significant operation, with an extensive fleet of construction equipment and a number of regional depots. Our group provides a wide range of engineering and construction services across the public and private sectors and we pride ourselves on offering flexible solutions to meet clients specific project requirements.  Much of our work is repeat business, testament to a strong track record of successful delivery and customer satisfaction.

As the ALLROADS group continues to grow, our business remains underpinned by the original founding principles, values and ethics of:

  • Valuing our clients
  • Conducting ourselves with honesty and integrity at all times
  • Communicating with all stakeholders and being user friendly,
  • Delivering flexibility, practical solutions and high quality outcomes,
  • Operating safely and sustainably at all times.

    • 2013: Formation of the ALLROADS Group

2013 saw the integration of Bayside Civil, Queensland Civil and Allroads under one corporate identity; ALLROADS.The decision was made to draw the three companies together under the one banner to both simplify and strengthen our business offering, also allowing our clients and customers to only have to trade with one entity.

As part of this reformation, we launched our new logo; drawing inspiration from the corporate colours of the founding companies, which were instrumental in

establishing the reputable and successful contracting business we have today.

As the Group continues to evolve, our business remains underpinned by the original founding principles, values and ethics of:

      • Valuing our clients,
      • Conducting ourselves with honesty and integrity at all times,
      • Communicating with all stakeholders and being user friendly,
      • Delivering flexibility, practical solutions and high quality outcomes,
      • Operating safely and sustainably at all times.

Today the Group employs over 155 staff, maintains premises in Brisbane, Ipswich, Oakey, Chinchilla and Mackay and owns over 80 pieces of plant and equipment.

allroads-old-imageTo compliment their existing contracting activities, in May of 2010, the Group further expanded its growth into Infrastructure and building works with the formation of Allroads.

This new company saw the Group start to undertake more diverse civil infrastructure projects including the Carindale Shopping Centre Redevelopment External Works, Western Downs Substation Civil Works and the companies largest contract to date; the $15.4million Wide Bay Defence Training Facility Construction.

Together all three companies continued to grow and based on this success, the Group was able to achieve a number of other milestones including:

      • The group continued to diversify the skillset via surveying and machine control, acquiring a larger float, additional trucks and plant as jobs permitted;

Having operated from a number of home offices up until then, the Group established its first head office in Cleveland, subsequently moving to larger premises at Loganholme early 2012.

    • 2005: Bayside Civil Begins

      bayside-civil-image

Bayside Civil commenced operation in September 2005. With no machines and no financial backing, Jon Fulton, Dave Hebson and Dan Fulton had nothing more than 2 old cruiser utes to share and an old man that didn’t know the meaning of an early knock off.

Mark Fulton taught the boys an uncompromising work ethic and a steely determination to succeed. Mark pushed the young twenty year olds to work 14 hour days and introduced them to many important clients.

John Mappas believed in the young directors and gave Bayside Civil its first job at the Logan Mega Centre. They dry hired machines and worked hard ploughing everything hey had into their little company, it was many months before the boys could even afford to pay themselves a basic wage.

The boys showed promising efforts, diligence and hardwork, earning them their first financed machine: a 13 tonne Kobelco Excavator.
